One aspect of cultural diversity is religious diversity. Apart from major world religions, modern paganism is growing locally, nationally, and world-wide. These are largely earth-based religions which draw on beliefs and practices of indigenous cultures from around the world. Though modern paganism is growing in vast numbers, it is still largely misunderstood by mainstream culture. The intention for the Honors Lunch and Learn is to give a brief history of modern paganism, explain the variance and commonality among different pagan groups, and attempt to correct misunderstanding surrounding this form of spirituality.
