Honors student, Erin Duma, traveled to Costa Rica this summer. Below is a comment from Erin about her trip as well as her favorite photos. Thank you, Erin, for sharing your experience with us!
“This experience enhanced my education in a number of ways. During this opportunity, I had the ability to improve my ability to speak and understand the language [Spanish] especially because I was living with a host family who were native speakers. By being immersed in the language and culture, I gained a unique perspective of the way of life of another country which I would never see by solely studying in the U.S.”
