At the beginning of the year I decided to complete Initiative 125 as a personal challenge. I thought it would be a really fun and rewarding experience to try it out. Other than being a peer mentor I am part of an RSO called Pet Savers, and also work closely with Animal Rescue Coalition, Mecosta County’s new animal shelter. Every week I go in and work with the dogs at the shelter to help feed, exercise, and give these wonderful animals some care and comfort. I’m almost to my goal and hope I get there. I also encourage anyone else who has the time and motivation to try it out! It’s really worth it.
