In Florida we had times both of fellowship and service. During the day we helped rebuild homes that needed repair and even had the chance to take down a home that had too much damage to repair. We were able to come into a community that is still suffering from the flood that destroyed their homes last June. It was a fantastic opportunity to get to know others in our group better while helping others. At night we were able to regroup. We worshiped together and were able to hang out together (that often ended up involving a card game of some sort.) Overall, it was great to take the focus off of school and everything that entails for a week and to just do some manual labor alongside friends and help out those who really needed and appreciated it.
