We will be having a Lunch and Learn on Thursday, October 10, 2013 in BUS 210 for all Pre-Optometry students. The topic of this Lunch and Learn will be  ”Using Google Glass for Research and Education”  and will be presented by Craig Norman, the Director of the Vision Research Institute at FSU/MCO,  along with his research assistant and second year doctoral student Elyse Kleifgen. Their efforts on this research project have been widely publicized and should be of great interest to the Honors students. Here is a bit more information from a recent article in USA Today…

“#ifihadglass optometry would evolve. I could capture exactly what I see for diagnosis, treatment, and research.”

Second-year optometry student Elyse Kleifgen sent that simple, 110-character tweet almost a year ago in the hopes of becoming one of the lucky 8,000 “Explorers” Google selected on Twitter to try out their new wearable computer, Glass, for her senior research project at Ferris State University….

Please RSVP to [email protected] or call the Honors office at 231.591.2216. Please be sure to specify the name/date of the Lunch and Learn in your correspondence. Thanks!
