Cultural Event: “The Real Thanksgiving” Nov 26th

Guest Speaker: Dr. Martin Reinhardt

Dr. Martin Reinhardt is an Anishanaabe Ojibway citizen of the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, and Assistant Professor of Native American Studies at Northern Michigan University. Dr. Reinhardt’s lecture will be on the topic of the history and evolution of food, feasting and harvest celebrations in Native American culture. “The Real Thanksgiving” feast and fellowship will take place following the lecture and will feature authentic food from a traditional Thanksgiving celebration.

This event will be held Nov. 26th from 5-7PM in COB 11 (Presentation portion only), IRC Connector (Feast Meal).
