“Undocumented Youth Activism from a Community and Academic Perspective”
This panel will draw upon each speaker’s experience with undocumented youth activism based largely upon membership in One Michigan, an undocumented youth-led organization, to examine how activists are working to address several of the current issues with the immigration system in the United States.
The panel members will discuss what drove them to immigrant rights activism, what they have learned from the process, and what (if any) changes they believe have occurred as a result of the local and national efforts of undocumented youth.
This event will take place on February 17 from 11-11:50AM in BUS 111.
