Honors Medallion

On Saturday, March 1, 2014 over 400 students and their families travelled to Big Rapids to participate in the 18th Annual Honors Invitational Essay Competition. Students attended from as far away as Illinois, Indiana and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. To be invited to join the Honors Program, prospective students must meet two of three following criteria:

• Cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
• 25 ACT composite or 1135 SAT (combining Math and reading scores) or higher
• Ranked in the top 10% of graduating class by GPA

The essay that is written at the Honors Invitational is the final step in the Honors application process.
