Honors Students service trip to Memphis, TN

Honor Students Lauren Kelly, Pre-Pharm sophomore, Rachel Kempisty, Pre-Med sophomore, Rachel Garrity, a junior in the Pharmacy program, Kelly Kieffer, a junior in Pharmacy, and Amber Cumings, a Pre-Optometry junior, as well as other members from their RSO, The Newman Center for Catholic Students, traveled to Memphis, Tennessee to volunteer their time and talents working at the Neighborhood Christian Center. Their week was filled with working at various locations including organizing the NCC’s Second-hand store, working at the Habitat for Humanity’s Restore, raking and cleaning up the Elmwood Cemetery from a previous ice storm, delivering Meals on Wheels, and they still found time to wash cars and enjoy the 60 degree sunny weather!

This is another trip that was partially funded by the Honors Program. To be eligible for a Study Away scholarship, you must be an Honors student in good-standing. Below are Lauren’s pictures from the trip.
