If you have loved your service opportunities and want to further explore work that keeps you engaged with the world and serving the greater good, AmeriCorps*VISTA might be a great opportunity for you.
AmeriCorps*VISTA is a government program that gives committed individuals the chance to serve a community full-time for 12 months by supporting local organizations in their mission of poverty alleviation. VISTA members receive a living allowance and many other great benefits as part of their service. We’re looking for candidates who can commit to full-time service in a Michigan community, are adaptable, ready to learn, and passionate about helping those around them. To apply, send your resume to mnavista@gmail.com.

We’re also excited to announce that the Honors Program at Ferris will be hosting a VISTA in partnership with the Big Rapids Housing Commission. If you want to know more about possibly working with the Ferris State and Big Rapids Communities, contact the Honors Advisor, Charlie Malone, by calling 231-591-2216 or via email: charlesmalone@ferris.edu.
This is a great opportunity for students looking to build real world experience before moving on to the next step in their education or careers.
