Alexandra Bowker, Leadership Stole 2014

Alexandra Bowker has worked for the past three years to bring AIESEC, an international internship organization to Ferris campus and the largest student organization in the world. Like all real leadership work, this effort was truly collaborative, involving many people in the college of business. This past year, they were finally achieved the first step if this process and were recognized as a “hosted entity”.

Emily Pietrowicz serves as President of FSUbuntu, where she is responsible for fundraiser events, volunteer opportunities and global initiatives on campus.  This year, she and the group organized and hosted a the first annual FSUbuntu soccer tournament to launch the ‘We Are One’ campaign, which will raise money for nearly indestructible soccer balls that will be donated to tribal communities here in Michigan.

Amanda Trigger was the executive producer and booking agent for this past fall’s Autumn aLive event when the funding for that event–about 43 thousand–evaporated.  Under her leadership, the group rethought the event entirely, changing it from a big-headliner act to a collection of smaller stages. And in the end, it was the first Autumn aLive event that made a profit.

Katie Coon, Leadership stole 2014

Katie Coon demonstrates a remarkable commitment to both service and leadership. Having served as president of Red Cross RSO in her sophomore year, she is still actively involved in the Ferris nurses association and the student alumni gold club.  She sought out Hospice opportunities,  as well as proposed, planned and organized a trip to Guatemala for her nursing colleagues.
