With the help of the Social Work Association, the Honors program is putting together a Poverty Simulation to give students a look into poverty. The simulation requires volunteers to manage the resources that will be used to help facilitate a month of poverty for participants.
The simulation will take place from 2 – 4pm, in IRC 115 and is open to anyone who would like to participate. Anyone interested in participating in the simulation will receive volunteer hours.
If you are interested in volunteering to be a resource manager, then you will need to be at the simulation event at 1pm. Also a meeting will be held on the day before the simulation to train you on your role in the simulation. Locations for the event and meeting are yet to be determined.
If you would like to play a role in the simulation please contact Jacob Pollock at honorsvista@ferris.edu for more information.
