Wounded Body & Soul will be the featured presentation for Native American Heritage Month and is scheduled for Wednesday, November 19th at 7 p.m. in Williams Auditorium.

The production explores social justice issues faced by the Native American community 50 years ago and examines what they have become today: e.g., from Stonewall to Two Spirits.

Fifty Years On – Wounded Body & Soul specifically compares and contrasts the topics of:

Five Hundred Years – the story from the beginning up until 50 years ago.

Turtle Island – the continuing destruction of native lands.

Sterilization – the forced sterilizations and mistreatment of native women.

Historical Trauma – native suicides and PTSD.

Knowledge is Power – the education gap, poverty and self determination

A call for action. What can we do now?
