Day of Service & Learning 2015

DOSAL2015The Day of Service & Learning was created in 2014 to promote service and provide honors students with an early opportunity to help out their community. Now in 2015 we are expanding the project to include even more projects, providing more than 200 students with volunteer opportunities! We hope that you will consider helping out a worthy nonprofit this year on September 19th our official Day of Service and Learning. Some opportunities may be on different days to accommodate varying schedules of students and nonprofits.

Partners this year include: Angels of Action, ArtWorks, Big Rapids City Recreation, Big Rapids Community Library, Camp Newaygo, Cran-Hill Ranch, Girl Scouts, Red Cross, St. Mary’s Catholic School, Barryton Mobile Food Pantry, 1016 Recovery Network, Our Brother’s Keeper, Chippewa Watershed Conservancy, and WISE!

We have projects to fit many interests and abilities so please visit OrgSync to sign up for the project that interests you most. Project descriptions will post online shortly and you can find descriptions on Orgsync.

The first 100 students to sign up will receive a Day of Service & Learning t-shirt! Food will be provided to students during volunteering and gas cards are available for projects that require considerable driving!
