In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15), the Office of Multicultural Student Services seeks to create a collaborative lineup of events that promote the contributions of Hispanic Americans to our society and the diversity of the culture. Events are free and open to the public and are a great way to satisfy your cultural event requirements. Events will run from September 22nd to November 2nd.
The next event to take place in this event series is “Pinata Night” and it will take place on Monday, October 12th from 7:00-9:00pm in the Center for Latin@ Studies (IRC 131). This event is hosted by Sigma Lambda Gamma and the Hispanic Student Organization. Below is a description of the event:
“Pinatas have a multicultural history including China and Mexico. At this interactive workshop attendees will create their own Pinatas”
