Cultural Event: Latin@ Heritage “Two Cultures, One Struggle”

In recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 – October 15), the Office of Multicultural Student Services seeks to create a collaborative lineup of events that promote the contributions of Hispanic Americans to our society and the diversity of the culture. Events are free and open to the public and are a great way to satisfy your cultural event requirements. Events will run from September 22nd to November 2nd.

The next event to take place in the event series is “Two Cultures, One Struggle” on Thursday, October 15th from 5-7pm in University Center 211. This event is hosted by the Hispanic Student Organization and Black Leaders Aspiring Critical Knowledge. Below is a description of the event.

“The purpose of this 3rd annual student discussion is to highlight the similarities and differences the African American and Latin@ American student experience in order to create common ground and work together on solutions.”
