2015 Ferris State University & World Vision’s 30 Hour-Famine Sign-Up Available!

Through World Vision, the 2015 Ferris State University 30 Hour Famine is being held November 13-14th. All FSU students, 18 and older, are able to participate and may register through the online portal located on our FaceBook page, FSU 30 Hour Famine, in the “About” section. They must be signed into their active FSU e-mail to do so. Participants are expected to fast for 30 hours, raise $35, and participate in all planned activities.

World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine brings awareness to world hunger and raises funds to help rid of this global issue. Our 30 Hour Famine also benefits the people of Big Rapids as we collect nonperishable food items that will be donated to a local food pantry and as we do various service projects throughout the community, in addition to children and families all over the world. Each year all of our funds are donated to the country that has the greatest need. Since 2005, we have raised approximately $22,000 and participation has continued to increase.

This event will provide active participants with 23 service hours, which have been approved through honors. One of their service hours comes from raising the required $35.
