Eagle Village is looking for energetic, caring and dedicated people to help serve children and families at their Michigan facility. Below are a list of positions available. All positions require a valid Michigan driver’s license.

Positions Available:

Summer Camp Counselor

Description: Faith-based, enthusiasm, service, missionary experience, rustic setting, internship. If any of these sounds interesting to you and you have previous canoeing, backpacking, hiking or wilderness experience, this is for you.  Through their summer camp program, Eagle Village has the unique privilege of impacting the lives of young people through adventure, redirection and spiritual growth. The camp counselor provides leadership and guidance while living with and supervising a group to help each youth adjust to group living. The counselor directs constructive activities that challenge campers to respect one another, give attention to promptness and personal responsibility, build character and maturity and learn healthy boundaries and risks.

Requirements: High school diploma of GED. One to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Michigan driver’s license and good driving record.

Accounting Specialist – Accounts Receivable

Description: Under a general supervision, performs a variety of professional accounting duties; compiles, prepares and maintains financial data and records, ensuring that all principles are consistent with established policy and procedure.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED or educational equivalent; four-years bookkeeping experience in accounting field required – non-profit bookkeeping experience and advance degree courses preferred. Working knowledge of basic accounting terminology and formats; experience with spreadsheets required.

Youth Specialist 

Description: The Youth Specialist provides direct supervision of the youth under their care to implement goals and strategies for each youth. The YS is part of a treatment team that motivates residents and their families to resolve problems and to make positive changes while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. This position reports to the Quality Care Supervisor.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in a human services area and one year experience is preferred. Good moral character and emotional stability.

Transporter

Description: Provides direct supervision of the youth under their care. Transports youth and families for a variety of different reasons such as home visits, doctor appointments, family weekend, etc.

Requirements: High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Good moral character and valid driver’s license.

Impact Mission Position

Hours: This position requires full time hours, however the paid portion is part time.

Description: Those in the Impact Program participate in the spiritual advancement of the Eagle Village community. They interact with EV youth through the mentoring program and activity engage in discipleship on campus with youth and staff. Eagle Village is currently in need of several of these energetic, passionate, mission-minded individuals. This position provides up to 25 hours in a paid position in an assigned area such as Youth Specialist or Support Staff. It also required up to 25 hour of volunteer time which would include assisting in the chapel program and mentoring youth.

Requirements: Candidates must be 21 years of age or older. High school diploma or GED, good moral character and emotional stability required. Good driving record and a valid Michigan license. Ideal candidates would come from a mission, social work or similar schooling background but others will be considered.

Camp Coordinator 

Description: The Camp Coordinator is the primary contact with a client during the duration of their stay at the CRC. A qualified candidate should be a friendly, efficient, polite individual who is able to meet all the needs of the client with a superior customer service attitude. The Camp Coordinator will assist with recruitment and cultivation of outside groups and will host and facilitate Mission groups and events. Finally, the coordinator will assist with marketing of Camp and Retreat Center.

Required: Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in related field and 1 year of camp experience. Prefer some knowledge of camp licensing requirements. First Aid, CPR, valid Michigan driver’s license and good driving record.

Medical Services Supervisor 

Description: Provide general nursing care to residents. Coordinates and oversees the administration of medications, coordinates pharmacy, consulting physicians, and psychiatrist services. Supervises one to two Eagle Village medical department employees. Assess residents to determine the need for further medical attention. Maintains quarterly data for required outcome measures.

Required: Must possess and maintain a valid license to practice as a LPN or EMT in the State of Michigan. Three to five years experience in a psychiatric setting preferred. Of good moral character and emotionally stable. Maintain continuing education credits as outlined by the State of Michigan Department of Community Health.

Foster Care/Adoption Specialist

Description: Provides needed and appropriate direct services to foster/adoptive youth, their siblings, birth/foster/adoptive parents. Coordinates the provision of collateral support services as contained in the policies and procedures of EVCBS and DHS, in court orders, or dictated by relevant funding, certifying, or regulatory bodies.

Required: Master’s Degree in Social Work or a comparable human service field from and accredited college or university preferred with proper licensure and accreditation. Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or a related human services field from an accredited college or university with proper licensure and accreditation is required as well as one year experience in children’s services and “active pursuit” of an appropriate graduate degree from a accredited college or university, completing a minimum of four field related graduate courses per year. CWTI training preferred.
