Cultural Event: “Mushrooms for Bees, Trees, People and Planet”

This year’s Earth Week keynote speaker is a 5-Star Event. Paul Stamet will be presenting “Mushrooms for Bees, Trees, People and Panet” on Friday, April 22nd from 8-10pm in UCB 202 A, B, and C. This event is free and open to the public and is hosted by the Bulldog Sustainability Alliance and the FSU Outdoor Club.

Paul Stamet is owner/creator of Fungi Perfecti and globally recognized mycologist, author and advocate for bioremediation, biodiversity and medicinal mushrooms. Paul has given more than 200 talks worldwide at universities, professional societies, ecological and medicinal plant conferences, including Ted and TedMed talks. Some of his most recent work involves the cause and prevention of declining bee population in the old growth forests of the Pacific Northwest and specifically how mushrooms can help save the bees!
