The Honors Outstanding Professor award is a student-led award. Students nominate professors who have helped them, regardless if it was in an Honors class or not.
This year’s Outstanding Professor Award was presented to Professor Jennifer Johnson at the Senior Awards Banquet on May 5, 2016. Professor Johnson works in the Geography Department and she teaches courses such as Weather and Climate. According to the two students who nominated her, Professor Johnson “wanted her students to succeed and was always willing to provide help, but she also wanted her students to work hard and kept her standards high.” Professor Johnson was also awarded Ferris State University’s Distinguished Teacher Award in 2014.
Congratulations to Professor Jennifer Johnson on all of her hard work and dedication!
