Honors student, Caitlyn Hain, recently studied abroad via Cultural Capitals and visited European cities such as Rome, Florence, Paris, and Madrid. Below is her comments on your trip as well as some pictures. Thank you, Caitlyn, for sharing!
“While on the Cultural Capitals trip, I traveled to Rome, Florence, Paris, and Madrid. It was extremely eyeopening to actually experience cultures different from my own. I was able to gain a deeper understanding of their customs and history through the courses I took. Learning about the artwork and concepts while viewing the actual pieces with my own eyes was almost surreal, and I was able to more fully appreciate the impact of each work. We studied works directly from some of the greatest artists in history. I am immensely grateful for this opportunity and the knowledge I have gained through studying abroad.”
