Lunch and Learn: The Nature of Beauty – Seeking the Beautiful in NY and Washington D.C.

Professors Rachel Foulk and John Scott Gray will be hosting a Lunch and Learn entitled “The Nature of Beauty – Seeking the Beautiful in New York and Washington D.C.” on Tuesday, November 1st. During their presentation, Gray and Foulk will discuss a study away trip they are planning, the basis for the trip, as well as how you can get involved. Below is a description of their Lunch and Learn.

“This Lunch and Learn will introduce students to the study of aesthetics. Professor Foulk and Gray plan on leading a study away trip during Spring Break (March 2017) to New York City and Washington D.C. That trip will allow students to take a three credit course (Philosophy 350) while studying some of the most impressive works of art and architecture in America, as well as consider the ways in which our country’s cultural and historical lineage is represented in monuments and memorials. Come join us to learn more about the field and the experience of beauty in the United States!”

To learn more about the nature of beauty, please join us for the Lunch and Learn on Tuesday, November 1st from 11:00am till 11:50am in Pickell’s Conference Room.
