Lunch and Learn: Why is it Important to Think Globally

William Sartore from the International Office will be presenting a Lunch and Learn on Tuesday, November 8th entitled “Why is it Important to Think Globally.” During his presentation, Will will speak about the importance of study abroad and being a ‘global citizen.’ Below is a description of their Lunch and Learn.

“Why is it important to think globally? How will I benefit from an international experience? What are the benefits of being a ‘global citizen’? Whether it be volunteering overseas, studying abroad, pursuing an international scholarship, or even pursuing the PeaceCorps, there are many different ways that Ferris State students can connect with international opportunities. But with so many options, it is important to think about how these experiences will impact you.

This Lunch and Learn will focus on how Honors students can meet their personal, academic, and career goals through global experiences, like studying abroad. The presentation will engage students on topics related to their personal interests and will help students connect to opportunities which will help them to participate in an interconnected global society.”

To learn more about being a ‘global citizen’, please join us for the Lunch and Learn on Tuesday, November 8th from 11:00am till 11:50am in Pickell’s Conference Room.
