2016 Honors Speech Contest

Last night was the 14th Annual Honors Speech Contest! Several speakers for Honors COMH classes took to the podium to present to their fellow classes-mates as well as a panel of judges. Pre-liminaries were held earlier in the evening to determine the 4 finalists who gave their speeches in front of a large audience in Science 102.

The 4 finalists were Cameron Bourlier, Jonathan Stevens, Jakob Baarck, and Kendal Browne. Their speeches ranged from topics on proper interview skills to technology and social media privacy. The winning speech was given by Jakob Baarck who discussed the role of fast food restaurant chains’ on obesity. Below are the final 4 speeches.
