Lunch and Learn: “Music and Culture in Spain”

Dr. Scott Cohen and Dr. Christine Vonder Haar will be hosting a Lunch & Learn on Tuesday, December 6th entitled, “Music and Culture in Spain!” During their presentation, Dr. Cohen and Dr. Vonder Haar will discuss the benefits and details of studying abroad in Spain. Below is a short description of his presentation:

“For the first time ever, music professor and band director Dr. Scott Cohen and English professor Dr. Christine Vonder Haar are teaming up for a Study Abroad program entitled ‘Music and Culture in Spain!’ to be held in the charming medieval city of Salamanca, Spain at the University of Salamanca – the third oldest university in the world. In 2018 it will be celebrating its 800th anniversary! The University of Salamanca is host to over 7,000 international students a year, from over 100 countries. The projected dates of this program are July 7 – August 5, 2017. The course credits you can acquire are Music 232: Music and Culture (3 credits, Cultural Enrichment & Global Consciousness) and English 250: English 2 (or a substitute English class may be possible, if you have already taken ENGL 250). The speakers will share information about places you’ll visit, the university, the beautiful city of Salamanca, the courses you’ll take, travel, costs, etc., along with questions you might have.”
