Brainchild Magazine Submissions

Brianchild Magazine, with the support of MEHA and the Kent State University Honors College, is currently seeking submissions of honors student work for publication in the 2017 edition of the magazine. Brainchild is the premier literary and arts magazine for undergraduate honors students in the Mid-East Honors Association. They strive to showcase the best works from honors students in this region in a manner that affords the creators the exposure and recognition that their works deserve.

They are accepting original pieces of poetry, prose, visual art, and photography rooted in honesty and authenticity. They are looking for pieces that rouse imaginations and furnish further discussion. They want to see how the divine underscores the mundane. They want to see the hidden realities unraveled when you read between the lines. Perhaps your work inspires people to be more compassionate, or to take charge of the fates of ourselves and the world we share. Maybe your work helps people to think critically, or to find beauty in language, image, and culture. The mission at Brianchild is to publish works of masterful design which lead us to new discoveries about who we are.

Brainchild will be taking submissions until January 15, 2017 via this live link. All work MUST be submitted through this online portal and there is no fee to submit. Submitted works may not have been previously published. For fiction, creative nonfiction, and essays the word limit is 8,000 words.
