As part of the final event of the 2017 Festival of the Arts, Ferris State University’s West Central Concert Band, Symphony Band and West Central Chamber Orchestra, all under the direction of Dr. Richard Scott Cohen, present their annual Festival of the Arts Winter Band and Orchestra Concert on Sunday, February 26th at 4:00pm in Williams Auditorium. This year’s program features the participation of special guest conductor from Spain, Adrian Ronda-Sampayo. Maestro Ronda-Sampayo is a young and rising conductor who recently directed the first live video game music concert in Spain. He will be a featured master teacher, lecturer and conductor for the week leading up to the concert, throughout the Ferris campus and the greater Big Rapids and West Central Michigan region. The Festival of the Arts Winter Band and Orchestra Concert will feature a unique and entertaining selection of film music, video game music, and music from Spain – including some music composed by Maestro Ronda-Sampayo himself!
