Lunch and Learn: The Beauty of Pi

Mathematics Professor, Kent Sun, will be hosting a Lunch & Learn on Tuesday, March 14th entitled, “The Beauty of Pi.” In celebration of Pi Day, Professor Sun will discuss the significance of the number pi and the history of Pi Day. Below is a short description of his presentation:

“Twenty-nine years ago, a relatively small group of people in San Francisco celebrated the number pi by walking around a circle and eating fruit pies. Since the, Pi Day has become an international celebration. Why do we care about pi and just what is it about pi that has caught the imagination of so many people? In this presentation, we’ll look at the wonder and beauty of Pi.”

To learn more about this topic and ask questions, please join us for the Lunch and Learn on Pi Day (Tuesday, March 14th) from 11:00am till 11:50am in Pickell’s Conference Room.
