Cultural Event: A Taste of Thailand

The Asian Student Organization and the Office of Multicultural Student Services will be hosting the 2017 Asian Pacific American Heritage Celebration the week of March 27th.

The first event will be “Asian in the Classroom” on Tuesday, March 28th from 6:00pm to 7:00pm in the University Center Room 213. During this event there will be a discussion panel with Ferris Asian professors sharing their personal and professional experiences about Asian American culture in today’s society.

The second event will be “A Taste of Thailand” on Wednesday, March 29th from 7:00pm to 9:00pm in the IRC 109. This will be a food tasting event featuring a variety of dished from Thai cuisine. Additionally, there will be music and craft stations.

Lastly, there will be a screening on “Gran Torino” on Thursday, March 30th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm in the IRC 115. Gran Torino is a 2008 film by Clint Eastwood about a retired auto worker and veteran who established an unlikely friendship with a teenage Asian neighbor.
