Volunteer Opportunity: Marshmallow Drop

Oakland County Parks are hosting a spring kickoff event where 15,000 marshmallows are dropped from a helicopter for kids to collect and turn in for a prize. This event will take place on Friday, April 14th from 7:30am to 12:30pm at Catalpa Oaks County Park in Southfield, MI. They are looking for 200 volunteers to help with parking, the prize tent and boundary areas as well as to be marshmallow marshals and chute controllers. Volunteers should park at the Park at Berkley Parks and Recreation and there will be a shuttle to get people to the event. Parking volunteers will need to be there at 7:30am and the rest at 8:00am. Volunteers should be 16 years or older and should wear appropriate clothing as the event will be outside.
