Lunch and Learn: Honors Contract Student Presentation

HonorsLogo-Flames-100pxA Pre-Optometry Honors students who has completed an Honors Contract for the Spring semester will be briefly presenting his project at a Lunch and Learn on Tuesday, April 18th, entitled “Honors Contract Student Presentation.” During this Lunch and Learn, honors student Thomas Colvin will present for about 25-30 minutes to talk about his project, explain what he got out of the Honors Contract process and answer any questions you may have. This is a great opportunity for students who are planning to complete contracts in the Fall to see what their fellow students have been working on. Below is a description of Thomas’s project.

Thomas Colvin is a Biology-Pre-Optometry student who completed an Honors contact for his CHEM 322 course. During his presentation, he will discuss his role as a classroom support for Dr. Adsmond for CHEM 322. The project will discuss the research carried our by the students. The focus was on the effects of Williamson-ether synthesis with different reaction modifications. He will conclude his presentation with a more generalized overview of the research opportunities on campus and how to get involved.
