Volunteers play a vital role in supporting the patient by providing relief for the caregiver, friendly visits, music (vocal and instrumental), life story review, haircuts and much more. You can help reassure an end-of-life patient that someone in their community cares about them. Hospice supports patients in a wide geographic area research 9 counties. Spectrum Health volunteers select the geographic area that they would like to serve. Additional volunteers are especially needed for Mecosta, Newaygo, and Osceola county areas.

If the Spring training session does not work with your schedule, please contact Spectrum Health to be place on their notification list for future volunteer training sessions. For more information or application materials, please contact Yvonne Elliott at 616-391-4240 or via email at yvonne.elliot@spectrumhealth.org or hospice.volunteers@spectrumhealth.org.
