We are in need of honors students who are willing and able to take an active role in the Honors Program at Ferris State. Being a member of the Honors Student Association will provide a significant voice for students in the governance structures of the Honors Program.
If you are interested in helping build the program and would like to join or get more information, there will be an informational meeting on Monday, September 18th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm in Starr 233. You do not need to attend the whole meeting; please drop in whenever it is convenient for you between 5pm and 7pm.
Below are some examples of the duties of members:
- Help build the Honors community by organizing social events such as the annual Variety Show as well as a Spring Social
- Work with members of the Ferris and Big Rapids communities to manage service opportunities for honors students such as Adopt-a-Highway
- Lead and participate in discussions about how to encourage a strong honors community
- Approve Honors Contracts and Honors Funded Travel Requests
Please join us at the meeting on Monday, September 18th! If you can not make it but would like more information please email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or call (231-591-2216).
