The Honors Program is sponsoring a service project at four Head Start classrooms in Big Rapids on Wednesday, October 4 from 9 to 11 AM. Head Start is a preschool program for children aged three to five.

Volunteers will read to children and interact with them in the classroom and on the playground. Our facilitator, Jenna Steele, will organize transportation and other details of the project. To sign up, please contact Cathy Bordeau at [email protected] . Volunteers will fill out a form allowing Head Start to conduct criminal history record checks at no charge. The project will accommodate up to eight volunteers. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, September 27.
