Artworks will be hosting “A Salute to Veterans” until November 11th at Artworks in downtown Big Rapids.  This exhibit features two sets of artwork: “The Hero Series” and “Wounded Warrior Dogs – A Poster Exhibit.” Below are descriptions of both.

The Hero Series

Fashion Has Heart gives wounded vets the opportunity to express themselves creatively by transforming their thoughts into actual designs. This exhibit features t-shirts and footwear.

Wounded Warrior Dogs – A Poster Exhibit

The sculptures represented in this exhibit won Artprize in Grand Rapids, where they are again on display in Fall 2017. James Mellick, their creator, has provided posters of these spectacular sculptures for exhibit and sale. The opening reception for this exhibit will be on October 5th from 5:00pm until 6:30pm and will feature one of the sculptures entitled “Flashback.”
