Volunteer Opportunity: Ferris Spook Butts Out!

The Public Health Student Association is organizing a campus-wide cleanup of cigarette litter. The event will take place throughout the day on Halloween and is open to anyone able and willing to assist. The collected litter will be put on display at the University Center on November 16th as part of the Great American Smokeout. Since Ferris is one of the last campuses in Michigan that is not either tobacco-free or smoke-free, PHSA hopes this display will bring attention to the issue through demonstrating how much cigarette litter pollutes the community.

To join in the cleanup, please contact Anthony Picard at or Dr. Fathima Wakeel at . If you would like to get involved with the planning of the event, there is an initial planning meeting on Tuesday, October 10th from 11:00 to 11:50am in VFS 326A.
