Lunch and Learn: Fall 2017 Honors Contracts Part II

HonorsLogo-Flames-100pxHonors students, Arielle Barlage and Caleb Visscher, will be presenting on their Honors Contracts at a Lunch and Learn on Thursday December 7th, entitled “Fall 2017 Honors Contracts Part II.” During this Lunch and Learn, Arielle and Caleb will describe their projects, explain what they got out of the Honors Contract process and answer any questions you may have. This is a great opportunity for students who are interested in completing a contract in the Fall to see what their fellow students have been working on. Below is information on their topics.

Arielle Barlage, Hospitality Management

“My contract was in the West Central Chamber Orchestra class. I have researched information on a piece that we’re playing for the fall concert, and I will be presenting that information as well as a poster at our concert on November 19th.”

Caleb Visscher, Building Construction Technology

“The class I did my honors contract for is Conm 221 Statics and Structures where we are learning to calculate load and flex on structural beams and columns. My professor, Robert Easley, and I are proposing adding depth to the current class by expanding on these topics. We will be calculating tributary loads on all structural components to determine design building loads. This would take everything that we will be learning in this class and use it all to go one step further.”
