Grand Rapids Symphony Cultural Event

As part of the Big Rapids Festival of the Arts, the Grand Rapids Symphony will be performing in Williams Auditorium on Sunday, February 4th at 4:00pm. The Symphony, under the baton of Maestro John Varineau, returns to the Festival of the Arts with an all Mozart program, performing his Symphonies No. 3 in D Major and No. 41 in C Major, as well as his Concerto No. 1 for Flute in G Major, featuring Grand Rapids Symphony’s own Christopher Kantner. Chris has been Principal Flutist in the GR Symphony since 1976, and in addition to his orchestral work, has been featured as a soloist numerous times during his long tenure. Chris performs regularly throughout the country as both soloist and chamber musician, and has also served on the music faculties of Interlochen, Grand Valley State University, and Michigan State University.

The performance will be free of charge. For more information, please visit the Festival of the Arts webpage.
