Trashing the Landscape Cultural Event

As part of the Big Rapids Festival of the Arts, the Big Rapids Garden Club and Big Rapids Farm and Garden will be hosting a presentation entitled “Trashing the Landscape” with Janet Macunovich on Tuesday, February 13th at 1:00pm at the Mecosta-Osceola Career Center.

Macunovich will speak about how you can incorporate recycled materials, found items and even yard waste as you create a top-notch landscape. Come and hear ideas from some of Janet’s projects, covering everything from soil preparation to fencing, gates, paths, artwork, containers, and the plants themselves. Put these ideas to work to make your landscape unique as well as more economical and environmentally friendly.

Janet Macunovich is a professional gardener, garden designer, columnist for The Detroit News, Michigan Gardener magazine, and What’s Coming Up e-zine, featured columnist for Better Homes and Gardens, author, founder and instructor Michigan School of Gardening, Radio Host (WXYT, WYUR) and MSUE Master Gardener.
