“A Man Called Ove” Foreign Film Screening Cultural Event

As part of the Festival of the Arts and the 2017-18 Foreign Film Series, there will be a screening of “A Man Called Ove” on Thursday, February 15th at 7:00pm in the Big Rapids Community Library.

“A Man Called Ove” is a 2017 Swedish comedy/romance/drama. Ove has a problem: everyone, everything. His neighbor can’t back up a trailer properly, his other neighbor doesn’t drive the right kind of car, there’s a car parked where it shouldn’t be. Then there’s the neighborhood cat. On top of that, he’s really bad at suicide. Ove is a curmudgeon’s curmudgeon. An isolated retiree who spends his days enforcing block association rules and visiting his wife’s grave, Ove has finally given up on life just as an unlikely friendship develops with his boisterous new neighbors.
