As part of the Humanities Colloquium Series, Dr. Grant Snider will be presenting “Therapeutic Philosophy and the Good Life” on Thursday, March 15th from 11:00am to 11:50am in the University Center 211. This presentation will survey Dr. Snider’s research and writing from his fall sabbatical. Specifically, it will be a mash-up of ancient philosophy with contemporary cognitive behavioral therapy. He will try to demonstrate how current clinical concept and techniques can be useful in making ancient philosophy practical and how ancient philosophy might help provide additional intellectual resources for therapists as they work with clients. Light snacks will be provided and all are welcome.
