Kick Butts Day is a national day of activism that empowers youth to stand out, speak up and seize control against Big Tobacco. The next Kick Butts Day is March 21st. There will be more than 1,000 events in schools and communities across the United States and even around the world. Kick Butts Days was organized by the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and the first day was held in 1996. In the University Center Lobby, Ferris State will be raising awareness of the problem of tobacco use in our community and will be encouraging youth to reject tobacco industry’s deceptive marketing and stay tobacco-free. They will also be urging elected officials to take action to protect kids from tobacco.
To join the fight, please sign Ferris’s petition or visit the University Center Lobby between 12:00pm and 7:00pm on March 21st.
