Omicron Delta Kappa Dawg Talks Cultural Event

Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK) is hosting their second annual “Dawg Talks” on Thursday, April 12th at 5:30pm in SCI 120. ODK is a National Honor’s Leadership Society that strives to promote leadership in their five foundational pillars of leadership: athletics, scholarship, community involvement, journalism/speech/mass media, and the arts. Dawg Talks provides three speakers who will present on one or more of these 5 pillars of leadership, their leadership style, and their background behind how they got to be who they are today. This year’s speakers include: Dave McCall, a trusted professor and advisor here on campus; Dr. David Pilgrim, the Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion at Ferris and motivational speaker; and Tia Brandel-Wilhelm, the Ferris State Volleyball Coach, who will be speaking on Team Leadership and the mechanisms behind building a team. This event is a great opportunity for students to come learn from leaders in the community and hear their stories, potentially giving insight on what it takes to become a successful and influential community member.
