25th Annual Fulbright Foreign Lecture Cultural Event

The 25th Annual Fulbright Foreign Lecture will take place on Thursday, April 19th from 4:30pm to 5:30pm in IRC 120. Dr. Ivo Soljan will be presenting “Are We Any Wiser Today: One More Disappointing WORLD DIS-ORDER.” “Dr. Ivo Soljan has a long and extensive political experience, after his arrival in the USA, directed towards the peaceful resoluation of the extremely bloody war (1990-1995), caused by the dissolution of Yugaslavia. As a U.S. State Department contractor, he participated in the Dayton Accords peace negotiations in 1995, which resulted in the end of the open hostilities and the signing of the peace agreement. Dr. Soljan – Fulbright Scholar himself – delivered the inaugural Fulbright lecture at Ferris 25 years ago. He has been a professor of English literature at Grand Valley State University since his move to the U.S. in 1993.”
