Lunch and Learn: How to Gain Clinical Experience as a Medical Scribe

Join us on Thursday, January 24 at 11 AM to learn how to get a part-time job as a medical scribe!

Jeff Trytko, Director of the GVSU Academy and Clark Vredevoogd, Chief Scribe at Helix Scribe will discuss the opportunity for Ferris honors students to receive free training and work as scribes in a medical setting such as the Big Rapids and Reed City Emergency Departments, the Spectrum Health Medical Group (Urology, Primary Care, Ortho Trauma), Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan, and Allegan General Hospital.

Free training is available through Helix Scribe Solutions and the GVSU Scribe Academy. Graduates are offered part time employment with flexible hours accommodating class schedules. Lunch and Learn participants will learn about the application process,  training, and what to expect while working as a medical scribe. More information is available at http://www.gvsu.edu/scribe.

As always, we will be serving pizza from Jet’s. It’s fine if you arrive a little late or leave a little early. Please register here.
