Here’s what’s new in Honors!

Lunch and Learns

Tuesday, February 5 at 11 AM in Pickell: Study Abroad in Guadeloupe and Martinique. Join Dr. Daniel Noren for an entertaining, interactive presentation on Guadeloupe and Martinique, overseas departments of France located in the Caribbean. He will also talk about the trip he is leading this summer. Please register here.

Thursday, February 7 at 11 AM in Pickell: Opportunities in Spanish at Ferris. Join Dr. Eric Warner, Assistant Professor of Spanish, to learn about the advantages of studying Spanish. He will talk about the Spanish program, study abroad options, and the benefits of learning Spanish, including stories of recent graduates’ success in applying for graduate programs and jobs. We will serve Jet’s pizza at the Lunch and Learns. It is fine if you arrive a little late or leave a little early.

Honors Contracts

If you choose to do an honors contract this semester, it will be due by Friday, February 8. You will find the electronic form for honors contracts on Honors Path. It’s not too late to see Cathy if you need help with your honors contract or if you want more information on what is involved. Contact her at CathyBordeau@ferris.edu.

Additional Cultural Events

Looking to do better in your classes this semester? Think about attending “Make it Stick: Study to Stick It in Your Brain” on February 5 at 11 AM in Science 102.

Celebrate the Lunar New Year on Tuesday, February 5 from 5 to 7 PM in the IRC Connector. The celebration will include arts and crafts, student presentations, activity tables, and a taste of authentic Asian foods.
