Please join Sarah Doherty, the Coordinator of the FSU LGBTQ+ Resource Center, on Tuesday, April 30 at 11 AM in Pickell for a presentation entitled “A Brief History of LGBTQ+ Comics/Comix and Graphic Novels in the US.” She will give a brief overview of some of the ways that queer, trans, and asexual/aromantic cultural production and representation in comics/x and graphic novels have developed alongside and in tension with cultural changes in the 20th and 21st centuries. This presentation will include visual examples and some materials from the LGBTQ+ Resource Center library.
We will serve Jet’s pizza. It’s fine to arrive a little late or leave a little early. If you need accommodations to attend, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 231-591-2216. Please register here.
