On Thursday, September 12 at 11 AM in Pickell Hall, Cathy Bordeau, the honors advisor, will be doing a Lunch and Learn presentation on placemaking as a service opportunity in the Honors Program.

She received a grant to do a placemaking project designed to make South Quad more attractive to honors students. South Quad is the area near the Rock and the honors halls. Placemaking involves using inexpensive strategies to make a space more usable and inviting. We would like honors students to participate in this placemaking project, which will count for up to five hours of service in the Honors Program for the semester. In the Lunch and Learn, Cathy will talk about placemaking, give participants a sample of the process, and explain how they can participate as a form of service.
