On Tuesday, September 24 at 11 AM in Pickell Hall, Lilia Caserta, an instructor in the English, Literature, and World Languages department, will discuss an opportunity for Ferris students to take general education courses while traveling in Italy over a two-week period during the summer. She will also talk about the benefits of study abroad in Italy. As she explains, “Study Abroad Program to Italy is a great opportunity for Ferris students to travel to a foreign country while studying global and cultural general education courses. We have a diverse group of students from Ferris State University experience Italian culture for two weeks. We visit three regions and spend time in Rome, Capri, Florence, Pisa, and Venice and see all the major museums and landmarks like the Vatican museums, St. Peter Cathedral, Uffizzi museum, Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiori, St. Marco square, leaning tower of Pisa and many more. You will have the opportunity to learn the Italian language, Italian literature and film as also study Italian wine and cheese making by tasting and trying wines and food.”
If you require accommodations to attend or need more information, please contact the Honors Program office at honors@ferris.edu or 231-591-2216. It is fine if you arrive a little late or leave a little early. As always, we will be serving Jet’s pizza. Please RSVP here.
