MEHA 2020 Conference–March 27–29, Grand Rapids, Michigan
As your social media feeds fill up with MEHA 2020 conference information, you won’t want to lose the importance of participating in this year’s conference and submitting a proposal to present. Remember, the Mid-East Honors Association (MEHA) is an organization that represents honors programs in universities and colleges across the Mid-East region through an annual conference, regular newsletters and email communications.Students from across the region can come and present posters, papers, presentations and other research—either current projects or research you have done in the recent past. Peers, directors, and faculty from all over the mid-east will be able to view and hear your presentation and all the hard work you have accomplished.
BUT WAIT… How Do I Submit a Proposal?

Now that you have opened the official MEHA homepage, choose the learn more button to get to the conference informational web page. This page should be able to tell you everything you need to know about submitting your proposal to present and other conference details.
To begin, you need to create a myMEHA account so that you can track your submissions through the approval process. If you have already a myMEHA account, go ahead and log in. Once your account is created, you will be able to view your dashboard. This is the main page for all your stuff. If you scroll down, you can see the proposal section, where the guidelines and options are for submission. Read the guidelines to understand what type of submission fits your project and presentation preferences.
WHAT DO I NEED TO START MY SUBMISSION?
You do not need your presentation project to be completed to submit a proposal. You doneed a title, name of all presenters, the discipline, type, a brief description, and an abstract. But again, your project does not have to be complete to submit a proposal.
Additionally, there is a “save draft” button at the bottom, this way you can come back to this proposal again and again to review it before you submit it. The drafts will be saved within your account and will appear on your dashboard when you log in again.
The submission deadline is January 15th, 2020, so don’t wait too long.Once you have completed your submission, click “submit” and take a picture of the final page. You can assume the submission was received, but in case there are any discrepancies, you will be secured. Even though you have submitted a proposal, that does not mean you are registered for the event. Don’t worry about this step yet, it is coming soon, and we won’t let you miss it!
This year’s MEHA 2020 Conference is co-hosted by Ferris State University and Grand Rapids Community College. Conference will be held on March 27-29, 2020, at the Applied Technology Center 151 Fountain St. NE Grand Rapids, Michigan.
